South Central Unicorn Users Group Conference

The 8th annual meeting of the South Central Unicorn Users Group will be held
in October 23 in Beaumont, Texas at the Holiday Inn Plaza Hotel and Suites.
South Central Unicorn Users Group invites Horizon clients to join us for this conference.
A Preconference session and a River Cruise on the Neches River for Thursday, October 22, 2009 are being planned.

Thursday Evening Activities
- Neches River Cruise
Join us on a pontoon boat cruise on the Neches River. A historian will provide interpretation on this 2-hour excursion. Click for more information about the Neches River Cruise. When: October 22 at 3:30 PM, Cost: $15.00.
The group will leave the Holiday Inn enroute to the cruise promptly at 3:30 PM.
A map to the Neches River Front will be included in the conference packet.
- Dinner Networking
Have an enjoyable dinner with colleagues networking over SirsiDynix issues, library concerns, or just have a great conversation.

Mary suggests the group choose between Joe's Italian and Floyd's:
Go Italian at Joe’s.
It is an old remodeled Dairy Queen but the food is good, inexpensive and authentic. Note you must bring your own atmosphere.
Floyd’s, a local seafood and steak house. It is where I go for good fried shrimp. The atmosphere is a little more upscale and so are the prices. Either place is very casual dress and has a relaxing atmosphere.
Mary says: The group can decide and either way we will have good food, great conversation and we will make new friends. Neither of these choices will negatively impact your food budget. With one car we can add three to our group. If we have 4-6 people interested, my husband Frank will drive his truck also. RSVP if you are interested in going.
